Description

About halfway up the coast between San Francisco and the Oregon border lies Mendocino County. Its seat is at Ukiah, the largest town in the county, with a population of 16,075. The state of California established the county at statehood in 1850. However, it wasn’t self-governing until 1859. (Until then, it was governed as part of neighboring Sonoma County.) Located along California’s Lost Coast, Mendocino County is known for its redwoods, temperate rainforests, and Pacific coastline. Mendocino County is also noted for the production of wine, microbrews, and cannabis.

Our Mendocino County Line sign is a recreation of the signs that appear at the entrances to this county along California’s state highways. We’ve made it precisely according to the California Division of Highways specification G10R, revision dated March 4, 1960. No other sign on the market will look this good, as it’s impossible to get closer to the real thing than that!

Our version of this classic county-line sign is flat printed on heavy 14-gauge steel.  We’ve scaled it down to a manageable size suitable for indoor or outdoor display. Choose from sizes starting 21 in. × 7 in. and going all the way up to the actual size, a colossal 81 in. × 27 in.! All sizes include convenient pre-drilled mounting holes. (Looking for another county line sign we don’t have listed here? Let Jake know what you’re looking for and we’ll be happy to make you the sign of your dreams!)
