Description

The Hudson River Estuary is a section of the river where its  fresh water mixes with salty water coming up from the Atlantic Ocean. It is about 153 miles long, and makes up more than half the length of the river, from Troy to New York City. Because of the water coming up from the ocean, the Hudson River Estuary has tides going in and out. One of the Native American names for this waterway is Mahicantuck, which, loosely translated, means “river that flows two ways”. The estuary is home to over 200 species of fish, as well as oysters.

Our Hudson River Estuary Watershed sign is an exact replica of those that appear along New York’s highways wherever they cross streams that flow into the estuary. It features a drawing of an Atlantic sturgeon, the largest fish living in the river. It’s a great way to show your connection to this important waterway. Show it off in your office, garage, living room, man cave, bar, or even your backyard!

Our Hudson River Estuary Watershed sign is printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. Its non-reflective finish can withstand a harsh New York winter.  Mounting holes are included in the design to make it easy to install. We make this sign in a range of convenient sizes:

  • 16 in. × 8 in.
  • 24 in. × 12 in.
  • 36 in. × 18 in.
  • 48 in. × 24 in.
  • 72 in. × 36 in. (printed on two 36 in. × 36 in. halves)

We can make just about every road sign in the world! Looking for something you don’t see our website? It’s easy to place a custom order! All you have to do to get started is contact Jake.
