Mexico Federal Highway 95D route sign

Price range: $89.00 through $159.00

Description

Federal Highway 95D is one of the principal toll roads of Mexico’s highway system. The second-oldest toll highway in Mexico, it connects Mexico City to Acapulco, serving as a higher-quality bypass of the older toll-free Federal Highway 95. The road passes includes some rather impressive infrastructure, including a mountain pass between Mexico City and Cuernavaca with an elevation of 2,647 meters (8,684 feet), as well as an urban-bypass tunnel in Acapulco nearly three kilometers (1.8 miles) long.

Our Mexico Federal Highway 95D sign hearkens back to when Mexico used standalone route shields on its highways. Federal route markers these days typically only appear as part of larger signs, like kilometer markers and green directional signs. It follows the exact federal standards used in Mexico between 1966 and 1986, including the official SCT fonts used on Mexican highway signs (which are very similar, but not identical, to the USA sign fonts). Route marker signs like this circulate from time to time on the collector’s market, but they command a premium even in poor condition, which most of them are. Save money and get a display piece you’ll be proud to show off with our faithful replica.

Our Mexico Federal Highway 95 sign is printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. Its high-gloss, non-retroreflective finish allows you to install it outdoors without having to worry about the elements. Pre-drilled mounting holes are included to make installation easy. Choose from the following sizes:

  • 247.5 mm × 330 mm (≈ 9.7 in. × 13 in.)
  • 300 mm × 400 mm (≈ 11.8 in. × 15.7 in.)
  • 450 mm × 600 mm (≈ 17.7 in. × 23.6 in.)
