Description
California’s State Route 111 is a highway winding through the desert of southeastern California. It begins at the Mexico border in Calexico. From there it proceeds north, along the east coast of the Salton Sea. Then, it passes through the cities of Coachella, Indio, Palm Desert, and Palm Springs, before ending at Interstate 10.
Relive your experiences in Coachella, Indio, and along the Salton Sea with our replica California State Route 111 marker. We’ve precisely recreated it using the exact 1964 standards. (This is the year when the California highway marker changed colors from white to green.) You can find markers like this one along the highway today; Caltrans has made just a few minor updates to this design. Our replica lets you enjoy a California State Route 111 marker in the comfort of your home, without having to commit a crime with a pair of bolt cutters. (The State of California very much frowns upon that sort of activity.)
Our California State Route 111 marker is flat printed in the United States on a heavy-gauge steel blank in the shape of a miner’s spade. As we always do, we’ve made the layout 100% to state standards. The numbers are an accurate rendition of the official FHWA Series fonts.
