Description

Tracy Street is a residential street in Los Angeles, California. It forms the official boundary between the neighborhoods of Franklin Hills and Silver Lake. Tracy Street begins at Talmadge Street and heads east from there to John Marshall High School. From there, it turns southeast and continues to Hyperion Avenue. It turns back to due east for a short, final section linking it to Griffith Park Boulevard.

Our Tracy Street sign is a historically accurate recreation of the classic “shotgun” style signage used in Los Angeles. These signs were hand-painted in porcelain enamel, and were produced between 1946 and 1967. The simple, compelling design features the road name in large block-font lettering, and a smaller block number underneath it. The sign panel is formed to the two lines of text, to produce the distinct “shotgun” shape. This particular sign has a block number of 3900 W. This corresponds to the intersection with Monon Street, right by John Marshall High School.

Our Tracy Street sign is printed on 14-gauge steel, right here in the USA. It has a glossy, non-reflective finish that matches the porcelain originals. Thanks to this durable finish, it can be installed either indoors or outdoors. Like all of our signs, this one includes pre-drilled holes to make installation easy. Pick from the following sizes:

  • 21 in. × 7 in. (scaled-down version)
  • 30 in. × 10 in. (original size)

And then select one of these layout options:

  • One-sided, right facing
  • One-sided, left facing
  • Double-sided
