Description
Lansdowne Street is a fairly short street in Boston, Massachusetts, only about 1,000 feet long or so. But this small street looms large in Boston’s collective consciousness. For one thing, it runs immediately north of Fenway Park, just behind the legendary Green Monster left field wall. Storefronts on Lansdowne Street were once pelted with home run balls knocked out of the park; a system of netting now makes this no longer the case. The street’s close proximity to Fenway made it a natural nightlife hotspot. A number of bars and nightclubs developed here to give baseball fans something to do after the game let out. Even beyond the baseball season, these businesses have made Lansdowne the place to be.
Relive the fun you’ve had on Lansdowne Street with our replica of the signs found at either end of this famous street. We’ve made this sign according to many of the conventions used by City of Boston street signage over the years. Our sign includes the city seal at left, with the street name in the federal standard road sign font. It makes a great addition to any garage, man cave, bar, or any other place you and your friends might go to watch the game. This sign is also a great gift for any fan of Boston baseball.
Our Lansdowne Street sign is flat printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. Its glossy, non-reflective finish is durable enough to be displayed indoors or outdoors. We’ve made this sign available in two sizes to meet your display needs. Choose between the original 30 in. × 6 in. size, or a scaled-down 25 in. × 5 in. size. We also offer both sizes in a one-sided version ideal for displaying against a wall, or a two-sided version for independent display. All four versions include two pre-drilled mounting holes for your convenience.
