Description
Mount Baldy (officially known as Mount San Antonio but nobody calls it that) is the highest peak of the San Gabriel Mountains north of Los Angeles. On a clear day, the mountain provides a dramatic backdrop to the L.A. skyline. Mt. Baldy is currently part of the Angeles National Forest (as well as the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument), but when the national forests around Los Angeles were initially established, it was part of the San Bernardino National Forest.
Our Mt. Baldy District Warehouse sign is an exact replica of a sign that once stood in the area when it was the San Bernardino National Forest. Back in those days, especially out west, signs of the era were made by hand painting porcelain enamel onto a steel substrate. Block fonts were typically used during this time period, they made it easier to make consistent letterforms. Our Mt. Baldy District Warehouse sign accurately replicates the look of these classic signs, down to the details of the National Forest shield in the corner.
Our Mt. Baldy District warehouse sign is flat printed on heavy 14-gauge steel, much like the originals. Its high-gloss, non-reflective finish is an accurate replica of the feel of the porcelain enamel of the original. It also means that it can serve you well for years, even when installed outdoors in the Southern California sun and heat. Pre-drilled holes make it quick and easy to install, wherever you choose to mount it. Take your pick from the following sizes:
- 18 in. × 8 in.
- 27 in. × 12 in.
- 40.5 in. × 18 in.
- 81 in. × 36 in.
