Viva Las Vegas! Las Vegas is one of America’s youngest metropolitan areas. In fact, there was little to it until 1931. That was when the Nevada legislature legalized gambling, seeking to bolster its population by making everything legal that California wouldn’t. Las Vegas eventually grew into the gambling mecca of the Western world, outshining even Monte Carlo in the eyes of many. By the 1980s, Las Vegas had become a modern city rich in entertainment of all sorts.

This sign needs no introduction; it is one of the most recognizable signs in America. This is, of course, our replica of the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. It stands in the median at what was then the south end of The Strip on Las Vegas Boulevard. The sign is actually located in Paradise, Nevada, an unincorporated part of Clark County outside Las Vegas city limits. It was designed by Betty Willis, and first installed here in 1959. It has been owned by the manufacturer and leased by the government of Clark County ever since. While the front side of the sign is world-famous, those who have not seen it in person may not be aware it bears a message on the back, too. Displayed to traffic headed toward Los Angeles, it reminds departing drivers to “Drive Carefully” and “Come Back Soon”.

We’ve recreated the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign for your enjoyment at home. Every detail, from the fonts down to the 1922 silver half dollars behind each letter of the word “WELCOME”, has been painstakingly reproduced. The original is located in the most heavily-trafficked part of Las Vegas, and is far too large to carry down the Strip unnoticed. If it is ever removed, it will undoubtedly end up in a museum, not on the private market. With our replica, though, you can still add a touch of Vegas flair to any game room or den.

Our Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is flat-printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. It is a non-reflective sign with a high-gloss coating, made to last for years, indoors or out. We offer both the front and the back of the sign, as well as a two-sided version, with the correct message on each side.
