Renfrew County, Ontario is located in the southeast part of the province, along the border with Québec. Among the many roads the county maintains is County Road 508, also known as Calabogie Road. The route begins east of Black Donald Lake, north of the Madawaska River, which serves as its outlet. From there, County Road 508 proceeds northeast, running along the northern shore of Calabogie Lake (also formed by the Madawaska River), to the town of Calabogie. After passing through Calabogie, the road runs along the north shore of the Madawaska to Burnstown. Northeast of Burnstown, County Road 508 turns away from the river to end at an interchange with Highway 17, the Trans-Canada Highway.
