California State Route 2 highway marker sign

Price range: $89.00 through $369.00

Description

California State Route 2 is a highway linking the Los Angeles area to the Mojave Desert by way of the San Gabriel Mountains. While sections of the route have been removed over the years to allow cities to make their own improvements to the road, State Route 2 originally began at the Lincoln Boulevard interchange with Interstate 10 in Santa Monica, where it also met State Route 1. From there, it followed Santa Monica Boulevard through Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. SR 2 passes through Glendale as the Glendale Freeway, en route to La Cañada Flintridge. North of there, the highway ascends into the San Gabriel Mountains and the Angeles National Forest. This stretch of winding highway, the Angeles Crest Highway, has been recognized by the US Forest Service as one of its scenic byways. Between Big Pines and Wrightwood, it crosses into San Bernardino County. After passing through Wrightwood, SR 2 comes to an end at SR 138 west of Hesperia.
