Description

US Route 151 is a highway crossing the states of Iowa and Wisconsin. It begins in central Iowa, near Cedar Rapids, and angles to the northeast to Dubuque, where it crosses the Mississippi River. (A stretch of US 151 in Dubuque County appeared in the 1989 film Field of Dreams.)  After crossing the river, US 151 enters Wisconsin, where it passes through Platteville, Madison (the state capital), Fond du Lac, and Manitowoc. The highway ends in Manitowoc,  where it ends along the shore of Lake Michigan.

Our US Route 151 highway marker is an exact replica of the markers that were in use in the 1960s and 1970s along this Midwestern highway. We’ve made it according to the exact federal 1961 standards for signs of this type. Markers of this exact design became scarce along the roads of Wisconsin long ago; they’ve hung on a bit longer in Iowa but are rapidly disappearing there too. With our replica, you can breathe new life into this historic design!

Our US Route 151 marker is flat printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. It is non-reflective, making it fit in well with the existing decor of your garage, bar, man cave, or anywhere else needing a touch of Midwestern flavor. It’s also suitable for outdoor display, thanks to its weatherproof coating. It comes in four sizes: 12, 16, 24, and 36 inches square. (Looking for this sign in a different size? Or perhaps a marker like this from another US highway anywhere in the country? Just ask Jake, as he can certainly make one!)

Very pleased with the authenticity and quality on this sign. The design is very accurate and looks great. The finish is better than a typical road sign which makes it better for indoor use. The size option was also perfect. I can’t wait to hang this up. Thanks!
