Description
Canyon Drive is a residential street in the north part of Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. It begins at Van Ness Avenue, just north of Hollywood Boulevard. From there, it heads north. It eventually makes its way into Griffith Park, where it winds its way through Bronson Canyon. Canyon Drive can be used to access the Bronson Caves, as well as the Camp Hollywoodland summer camp. It ends at the trailhead of Brush Canyon Trail, which ascends further into the hills and provides excellent views of the Los Angeles basin.
Our Canyon Drive street sign is a precise replica of the classic “shotgun” style. This type of sign was in use between 1946 and 1967. The design is distinctive and effective due to its simplicity. It features white, squared-off letters on a deep blue background, with the street name on the top line and the block number (in this case 1900 North) on the bottom line. The sign is shaped to follow the contour of the two lines of text. This forms the “shotgun” shape that gives the sign its name.
Our Canyon Drive street sign is flat printed on 14-gauge steel, right here in the USA. It has a glossy, non-reflective finish that is just like what you’ll find on the original signs. Like any good road sign, it will last for years to come, even when installed outdoors. And, as always, we’ve included pre-drilled holes for easy installation. We have this sign available in the following sizes:
- 21 in. × 7 in. (scaled-down version)
- 30 in. × 10 in. (original size)
We also offer the following layout options in each size:
- One-sided, right facing
- One-sided, left facing
- Double-sided
Of course, we can make this sign for any street in Los Angeles! If you want a different street name or block number, we can customize this sign to your needs. Just contact Jake to get started on your custom order!
