California (CSAA) Pacific Coast Highway sign

The Pacific Coast Highway, also known as State Route 1, is one of the most famous roads in the United States. It offers unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean and the mountains and cliffsides making up the California coast. This Pacific Coast Highway guide sign is made in the style of those made by the California State Automobile Association from 1945 to 1959. (In those days, private auto clubs provided signage on California highways, rather than the state.)

Step back in time to the days before freeways criss-crossed California with our CSAA Pacific Coast Highway sign. Made to the exact CSAA standards of 1945, it is a faithful replica to the signs once found along this scenic highway. Every detail is just like the original, including the vintage FHWA Series A font (no longer in use on American road signs!) and the logo of the CSAA at the bottom of the sign.

Our CSAA Pacific Coast Highway sign is flat-printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. It is a non-reflective sign, allowing it to pair well with the decor of any room, and its glossy coating will protect it from the elements when installed outdoors as well. Mounting holes are included to make installation simple and straightforward. This sign is available in the following sizes:

  • 21 in. × 7 in.
  • 30 in. × 10 in. (actual size of original signs made by CSAA)
  • 45 in. × 15 in.
  • 81 in. × 27 in. (split across three panels)
