Description
The Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail is one of four regional trail systems set up by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. (The others are the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, the Panhandle Plains Wildlife Trail, Prairies and Pineywoods Wildlife Trail.) The Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail’s east and west regions cover the central portion of the state, from the Pecos River to San Angelo, through the Hill Country, to Austin, San Antonio, and Laredo. Distinct markers incorporating the silhouette of a roadrunner mark sites of interest for wildlife watchers. Among the attractions along the Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail include bats, birds, cave formations, ranches, and state parks.
Our Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail signs are a precise replica of the roadrunner signs found in Central Texas. We made them using photographs of original signs in the field, to painstakingly recreate the roadrunner outline, as well as the size and font of the text. The result is a sign that’s as close to the original as you can get without drawing the ire of the Texas Rangers!
Our Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail signs are flat printed right here in the USA on heavy 14-gauge steel. It has a glossy, weather-resistant coating tough enough to stand up to just about any sort of weather Texas can throw at it. It’s also non-reflective, allowing it to complement the decor of any room in the house. Whether you choose to install it indoors or outdoors, the included mounting holes will make installation as easy as possible. We offer both the east and west variants of this sign, in the following sizes:
- 12 in. × 12 in.
- 16 in. × 16 in.
- 24 in. × 24 in.
- 36 in. × 36 in.
