Description
State Highway 21 is a highway heading northeast out of Boise, the capital of Idaho. The highway provides access to Sawtooth National Recreation Area and Challis National Forest from Idaho’s most populated region. Along the way, it passes through pine forests, as well as Idaho City, a historic mining town where visitors can still pan for gold. In recognition of the beautiful terrain the road traverses, the Federal Highway Administration has designated Idaho 21 as the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway, a National Scenic Byway. Only 184 roads in the United States carry such a distinction.
Our Idaho State Highway 21 route marker sign follows the exact specifications for Idaho state route signs used from 1980 to 2016. The state outline, border, , text, and layout are all pulled directly from the standards documents, ensuring that every detail of the sign is just like the real thing. It makes a great way to commemorate a trip down the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway, or add a bit of rustic charm to any room of the house!
Our Idaho State Highway 21 sign is printed on heavy-duty 14-gauge American steel, right here in the USA. It has a glossy, non-reflective finish that allows it to serve you for years, indoors or outdoors, rain or shine. To make installation easy, pre-drilled mounting holes are included. It’s available in the following sizes:
- 12 in. × 12 in.
- 16 in. × 16 in.
- 24 in. × 24 in. (the actual size of the signs seen along Idaho highways)
- 36 in. × 36 in.
