Description

This “Welcome to Indiana, Drive Carefully, Thank You” sign was posted along the roads crossing into the state in the 1960s and 1970s. It has since been supplanted by more modern variants. However, there may be one or two examples still in service on the back roads, forgotten by the maintenance crews that would otherwise replace them.

Our Welcome to Indiana, Drive Carefully sign is a precise replica of the signs once posted along Indiana’s boundaries. We’ve used historic photographs of the sign when it was in use to make sure every detail is just like the originals. This sign is fully customizable, too—by default we’ll include Roger D. Branigin (served 1965–1969) as the governor, but we can make it with any name—that of a different governor, perhaps, or your wife, your kid, your dog, the fictional character you made up… the sky is the limit!

Our Welcome to Indiana, Drive Carefully sign is printed right here in the United States on Indiana steel. It is a non-reflective sign, with a smooth weatherproof coating that will make it last for years under the elements. We’ve also included mounting holes to make installation easier. Take your pick from the following sizes:
