Our replica Bunker Hill Avenue street sign is made in the style of the classic “shotgun”-style signs. The City of Los Angeles installed these porcelain signs between 1946 and 1967. The design is rather simple, with block text in white on a blue background. On the top line is the street name, with the block number displayed underneath. The sign panel is contoured to the shape of the text, creating the distinctive “shotgun” shape. Our replica includes the block number 300 South.
Our Bunker Hill Avenue street sign is flat printed on 14-gauge steel, right here in the USA. It has a glossy, non-reflective finish that is, for all practical purpose, identical to the of porcelain of the original. It’s just as weatherproof as the original, too, so feel free to install it anywhere. Choose from one of two sizes: the original 30 in. × 10 in. size, and a scaled-down 21 in. × 7 in. version. We’ve also made it available in one- and two-sided versions; the one-sided version can be printed facing either left or right. We’ve also included pre-drilled holes, to make installation easy. (We can make a sign like this for any street and block number in Los Angeles! Contact Jake now to get started on your custom order.)
