Description

The New York State Thruway is a toll road serving as the main highway of upstate New York. It connects the three major metropolitan areas of the state: Buffalo, Albany, and New York City. Along the way, it also serves a number of other major cities, including Utica, Syracuse, and the outskirts of the Rochester area. Since it opened in 1954, the road has been signed with a circular blue marker showing the road’s route on a map of New York. Additional signs identifying the road as parts of Interstates 87 and 90 began to appear alongside it shortly thereafter.

Show your love for the upstate New York with our replica of the New York State Thruway marker. Our signs are made according to the precise 1954 specifications the Thruway Authority uses to make these markers. We’ve painstakingly recreated every detail of the state map and the unique font along the outside edge of the marker. Our replicas are the closest thing you can get to genuine Thruway signage!

Our New York State Thruway sign is flat-printed in the USA on heavy 14-gauge steel. It is a non-reflective sign, perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors. The metal is coated to protect against the elements, even the lake-effect snows of the harsh New York winters. It comes in diameters ranging from 12 inches up to 36 inches. All versions include two convenient mounting holes. (Need a size not listed here? Or perhaps another New York road sign? Or one from somewhere else? We’d be happy to help!
