Description
King’s Highway 404 can be found in the Greater Toronto Area. Like all Ontario highway numbered in the 400s, it is a controlled-access freeway for its entire length. It begins at Highway 401 as a continuation of the Don Valley Parkway. From there, it extends through the northern Toronto suburbs. The highway comes to an end at Woodbine Avenue in East Gwillimbury, after a 50-km (31-mi.) journey.
Our King’s Highway 404 sign is an exact replica of those that were used at the highway’s opening in 1977. This design was used until 1993, when the words “The King’s Highway” were deleted from the top of the shield. Every detail is accurate to the originals: the fonts, the crown, and the sizes and placement of each element are exactly like those posted along the road. It’s so much like the real thing, even an experienced collector would agree!
Our King’s Highway 404 sign is flat printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. It can be installed indoors or outdoors thanks to its glossy, non-reflective weatherproof coating. To make it easy to display your sign wherever you like, we’ve included convenient mounting holes. Choose one of the following sizes:
- 9 in. × 14¼ in.
- 12 in. × 19 in.
- 18 in. × 28½ in.
- 24 in. × 38 in.
…and if those don’t work for you, we can make a custom size, just for you! We can also make a sign like this with any route number! And if you want a totally different type of route marker, or even a directional, welcome, or warning sign, we can make that too! Anything you would like—just contact Jake to get started.
