Description

Wisconsin is one of two states in which letter-only highway designations are in use, the other being Missouri. In Wisconsin, they are used to denote county highways. Counties may use any letters they like, from one to three letters, to designate major county-maintained highways that they maintain. Today, these markers are in the form of a white square with the word “COUNTY” above the route designation. These markers can be found all over the state.

Our Wisconsin county road markers are made following the exact 2022 state standards currently in use along the highways of the Badger State. We can make a sign for just about any county highway you like, from A to ZZZ. Just specify the letters you would like in the “order notes” box at checkout. (Please note, however, that the sign is intended to accommodate no more than three letters, so if you have more than that in mind, please contact us prior to placing your order so we can work with you to create a design which meets your needs.)

Our Wisconsin county road signs are flat printed on heavy American steel. They are non-retroreflective, with a high-gloss finish that looks great indoors while also protecting the sign from the elements when installed outdoors. Pre-drilled mounting holes are included for easy installation. Choose the size that works best for you:

  • 12 in. × 12 in.
  • 16 in. × 16 in.
  • 24 in. × 24 in.
  • 36 in. × 36 in.
