Description
US Route 101 is the major US highway running up the Pacific Coast, through the states of California, Oregon, and Washington. Crossing Oregon from south to north, the highway spends 360 miles (580 km) of its journey inside the Beaver State. The Federal Highway Administration has also named US-101’s entire length in Oregon has also been named an All-American Road, the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway. This honor marks US-101 as part of the highest tier in America’s scenic byway system. It is a distinction shared with only thirty other roads in the entire country. With the Pacific Ocean on one side and Oregon’s Coast Range on the other, the views along US-101 are second to none. US-101 offers travelers access to beaches, resorts, lighthouses, and small, charming fishing towns.
Celebrate the beauty of Oregon’s Pacific Coast with our replica Oregon US Route 101 marker. We’ve duplicated every detail, from the placement of the text to the curves of the shield, with mathematical precision from historic documents detailing the exact federal standards used between 1926 and approximately 1934 along this historic highway. They quite literally don’t make them like this anymore—meaning that original signs like this are difficult to come by. Finding one for a good price is even harder. With our replica, you can save time and money and still be confident you’ll get a sign nearly indistinguishable from the original.
Our Oregon US-101 marker is flat printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. Its high-gloss, non-reflective finish evokes the look of the porcelain signs of yore. This sign is durable enough to withstand the elements outdoors, while looking excellent indoors. We offer this sign in four sizes. For maximum historical accuracy, choose the 16-inch-tall model; this is the size of most signs of this type posted in the field. We also offer a scaled-down 12-inch-tall version, and larger 24- and 36-inch sizes (which were sometimes used to aid in visibility). All four versions include mounting holes for your convenience.
