Description
For its entire length in Oregon, US-101 is also designated the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway. It’s easy to see why. Tucked between Oregon’s Coast Range and the Pacific Ocean, US-101 offers unparalleled views for its entire 360-mile (580-km) journey through the Beaver State. Along the way, travelers can enjoy sandy beaches, seaside resorts, lighthouses, and the charm of small fishing towns. The Federal Highway Administration was so taken by what the route has to offer, that it designated it an All-American Road. This, the highest tier in America’s scenic byway system, is an honor shared with only thirty other roads in the entire country.
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) marks the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway with special five-sided markers. These signs bear the image of a traditional lighthouse looming over the ocean waves in front of a setting sun. These markers can be found along the highway throughout its entire length in Oregon. Now, to help you relive your experiences along this one-of-a-kind road, you can get one of your very own.
Our Pacific Coast Scenic Byway is a precise duplicate of the original marker. We’ve painstakingly reproduced it from photographs of real signs in the field. Every detail is indistinguishable from the original, from the fonts used, to the layout, to the icon in the center. It’s just like adding a real sign to your collection, without paying a private market premium or chancing a run-in with the law.
Our Pacific Coast Scenic Byway sign is flat printed on 14-gauge steel. Its glossy, non-reflective finish lends itself to display indoors or out. (And it’s durable enough to withstand the elements, too!) Choose from one of four sizes, from 9 in. × 12 in. all the way up to 27 in. × 36 in. All sizes include mounting holes for easy hanging.
