Description
The California poppy scenic route marker is a familiar sight to anyone familiar with the Golden State’s roads. Since November 11, 1971, Caltrans has used it to mark the many scenic roads winding their way through the state. It depicts a California poppy, the state flower, with a snow-covered mountain in the background. This version of the sign, which normally appears alongside route markers, is a cropped version of the larger California scenic route sign that appears at the beginnings and endings of scenic routes.
Our replica California poppy scenic route marker is made to the exact state standard issued in 1971 and used to the present day. Every detail of the poppy and mountain has been painstakingly recreated from the actual blueprints for signs of this type, and checked against photographs of real signs in the field. Relive your journeys on California’s scenic routes with our replica; it’s just like the original!
This sign is flat printed in the USA on heavy 14-gauge steel. It is non-reflective, making it blend well with the decor of every room. It’s also durable enough to withstand the elements, from the snowy winters of the Sierra to the harsh sun of the Mojave. Choose the size that works best for you! We offer it in both the 12 in. × 18 in. and 18 in. × 27 in. sizes you’ll find on the road. We also offer a scaled-down 10 in. × 15 in. and an extra-large 30 in. × 45 in. size to help meet your unique display needs. All four sizes include two convenient mounting holes. (We have hundreds and hundreds of California road signs in our library, and even more from other states! And we’re always looking for new designs, too!
