Description

Arizona’s flag is widely considered one of the best flags of all fifty US states. The iconic flag was introduced in 1917, not long after Arizona became a state. It’s no surprise, then, that in 1989 Arizona added the flag to its state welcome sign. The word ARIZONA appears at the top of the sign, and below the flag is the phrase “The Grand Canyon State Welcomes You”. While the sign has been technically superseded by a number of other designs, it is still on the books as the default state line sign. It still appears in that capacity in a number of locations throughout the state, notably on old US-93 within walking distance of the Hoover Dam.

We’ve recreated the classic Arizona state flag welcome sign for your enjoyment at home. It’s made to the exact Arizona DOT standards used to create the originals. All of the details of the state flag, the layouts, and the fonts used are just like the real thing! It makes a great gift for anyone who loves the state of Arizona. Add a bit of southwestern flair to any garage, bar, man cave, den, office, or any other space!

Our Arizona state flag welcome sign is flat-printed on heavy, durable 14-gauge steel. It is a non-reflective sign, with a high-gloss finish that will stand up to the desert sun for years. (It looks great indoors as well!) We’ve scaled it down from the gargantuan size posted in the field to four different sizes ideal for display at home. Take your pick from sizes between 12 inches square on up to 36 inches square. No matter which one you pick, we’ll include two mounting holes to make installation easy. (We can make just about any road sign from anywhere in the world! Got something you’re wanting that isn’t on our site? Custom orders are no problem for us! Just ask and we can get you taken care of!)
