Interstate 110 is a highway extending southward from Interstate 10 and State Route 110 in downtown Los Angeles. It connects the downtown area with the San Pedro neighborhood in the South Bay region, a distance of around twenty miles. San Pedro is the location of part of the Port of Los Angeles, making Interstate 110 a vital link in the movement of goods around the city of Los Angeles. San Pedro also has a number of attractions that might interest a visitor. The retired battleship USS Iowa is permanently docked at the Port of Los Angeles, and hosts a museum exploring the history of the US Navy. It’s considered one of the best museums in all of Los Angeles. San Pedro also hosts the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, which exhibits some of the marine life of Southern California.
