California poppy scenic route marker (large, G30)

Description

Anyone who’s done much driving around California is familiar with the poppy scenic route marker. This design, in use since November 11, 1971, is posted at the beginning and end of the Golden State’s many scenic roads. It depicts the state flower, the California poppy, in front of a snow-covered mountain in the distance. A smaller scenic route sign, cropped from this version of this sign, is posted alongside route markers.

Using the Caltrans G30 standards of 1971, we’ve recreated the California poppy scenic route marker in all its glory. We have faithfully recreated every detail of the poppy and mountain as seen in the standard, then verified that it matches real signs in the field. Our sign is just like original, making it a perfect way to relive your travels on California’s most beautiful roads!

Our California poppy scenic route sign is printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. Its finish is glossy and non-reflective, making it perfect for display in any room. It also protects the sign from the elements, so it can be installed anywhere from the high Sierra to the deserts of southern California. Mounting holes are included, making installation easy.
