Denver is the capital of and largest city in the state of Colorado. This unique city limit sign was installed at the entrances to the city as part of the celebration of Colorado’s centennial in 1976. It shows a family aboard a covered wagon making their way across the plains of eastern Colorado. The Rocky Mountains and the forests are visible in the background. In the upper right is the seal of the Colorado Centennial celebrations.
