The Chicago Skyway is a toll road in southeast Chicago, running diagonally from I-94 to the Indiana state line. It continues as the Indiana Toll Road on the Indiana side. Both toll roads carry the Interstate 90 designation, and further east the Indiana Toll Road picks up the I-80 designation as well. The Indiana Toll road also offers exits to I-65 and I-94. In Chicago, along South Cornell Avenue in Jackson Park, a sign has stood for decades directing travelers to both of the toll roads and the Interstates that follow them. It points travelers onto Stony Island Avenue, which proceeds due south from that point until it intersects the Chicago Skyway. Although the sign stands on Illinois soil, the Interstate shields that appear on it bear the state name of Indiana, which is quite unusual.
