One of the most familiar sights along U.S. streets and highways is the speed limit sign. You’ll find one along pretty much every road, from the busiest freeways to the smallest residential street. There is only one place in the country you’ll find a Speed Limit 85 sign, however. That’s along the State Highway 130 toll road outside of Austin, Texas. This is the highest speed limit in the United States.
Our replica Speed Limit 85 sign is made to the exact 2004 federal standards for speed limit signs. Every detail of the layout, from the font to the text sizes, follows these specifications. However, this replica sign is non-reflective and intended for display purposes only. It does not comply with the reflectivity requirements set out in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control devices. Fortunately, that does make it a much more attractive display piece. Add it to your garage, man cave, bar, office, or anywhere else you want to show off your need for speed.
Our Speed Limit 85 sign is flat-printed on heavy 14-gauge steel. It’s rugged enough to stand up to the elements outdoors, while looking great indoors as well. Choose the size that works best for you: 9 in. × 12 in. (about 23 cm × 30 cm), 15 in. × 20 in. (≈38 cm × 51 cm), 21 in. × 28 in. (≈53 cm × 71 cm), or 30 in. × 40 in. (≈76 cm × 102 cm). Two mounting holes are pre-drilled for easy installation. (Looking for a size not listed here? Or a sign like this with a different speed?
