Description
Bears are dangerous! They can weigh up to 300 pounds and can lift their body weight with a single leg. They are dexterous enough to unscrew jars and turn doorknobs. Obviously, humans should avoid being around a creature this powerful. But some visitors to America’s national forests may be unaware or the danger, or worse, try to feed the bears, which only makes them more likely to approach humans. To warn visitors of the risks of bears, the Forest Service has installed special Bear Country: All Wildlife is Dangerous, Do Not Approach or Feed signs In the center of the sign is a black-and-white depiction of one of the fearsome beasts.
Our Bear Country sign is made to the exact standards used for these signs since about the 1980s in the more ursine-oriented lands of the United States. Using photographs of the original sign, we’ve made a precise replica that would be a perfect addition to your home or cabin. All of the details of the bear drawing are accurately recreated, and the sign uses the exact font and text layout as the original.
Our Bear Country sign is printed on heavy 14-gauge steel, right here in the United States. It can be installed indoors or outdoors without incurring any damage from the elements. It has a glossy, non-reflective finish that makes it a wonderful addition to the decor of any space. To make installation easy, we’ve included convenient mounting holes. Take your pick from the following sizes:
- 12 in. × 9 in.
- 20 in. × 15 in.
- 28 in. × 21 in.
- 40 in. × 30 in.
