Description

The 1970s “Welcome to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia” state line sign was an iconic roadside feature greeting travelers entering the state. Its text, along with the state outline, appeared in yellow on a blue background. The “Wild, Wonderful West Virginia” moniker underscored the state’s allure for tourists seeking outdoor activities like hiking, white-water rafting, and exploring its vast forests. The sign’s simple, nostalgic design became an enduring symbol of the state’s identity and a warm invitation to those entering its borders.

Our Welcome to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia sign is a recreation of the signs found on the roads leading into West Virginia in the 1970s. Using historic photographs of the signs in use in the field, we’ve made it precisely like the originals. It has been scaled down from its original size to make it an ideal addition to your home’s decor. Show it off in your office, garage, bar, man cave, or any other space needing a touch of West Virginia charm.

Our Welcome to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia sign is flat printed on heavy 14-gauge steel.  It has a glossy, non-retroreflective finish that will keep it looking great for years to come, whether you display it indoors or outdoors. To make it easy to install, we’ve included convenient pre-drilled mounting holes. Choose from the following sizes:

  • 21 in. × 7 in.
  • 30 in. × 10 in.
  • 45 in. × 15 in.
  • 81 in. × 27 in. (this one is so big, it will be printed across two panels to make it easier to handle and install!)
