Description
Wisconsin Highway 13 is a scenic drive through many of Wisconsin’s best recreational areas. It begins in Wisconsin Dells, then heads north through Wisconsin Rapids and Ashland. There, it begins to follow the Lake Superior shoreline around the Bayfield Peninsula, providing access to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. From there, it continues along the shoreline, serving as a scenic alternate to US 2. It finally ends just outside of Superior, about 338 miles (544 km) from where it started.
Our Wisconsin Highway 13 sign is made according to the standards used in Wisconsin between 1956 and 1959. It shows the route number, 13, in a geometric figure that later evolved into the present-day route symbol. The edges of the physical sign panel are contoured to the shape of the symbol. At the top of the sign are the letters “WIS”. We’ve pulled out all the stops in making our route marker look exactly like those that once appeared on the highways of Wisconsin. Route markers in this style do sometimes appear on the collector’s market, but they normally go for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Not only that, but you may have to wait a long time to find a Highway 13 marker specifically. Save time, effort, and money with our faithful replica.
Our Wisconsin Highway 13 marker is made to unsurpassed standards of quality right here in the USA. This replica is the same size as the originals, 16½ by 15⅛ inches, and weighs four pounds and nine ounces. It’s printed on heavy-duty 14-gauge steel, with a glossy, nonreflective surface that will hold up well either indoors or outdoors. To make installation even easier, we’ve included two pre-drilled mounting holes. (Want a marker like this one for a different Wisconsin highway? Or perhaps different style of route marker, maybe even one from another state? We’d be happy to help! Just contact Jake to get started on your custom order.
