California Interstate 10 highway marker sign

Price range: $89.00 through $359.00

Description

Interstate 10 is one of the most important highways in Southern California. It begins at State Route 1 in Santa Monica and passes through the whole width of the state, crossing the Colorado River into Arizona near Quartzsite. It connects many of Southern California’s most important regions, including Los Angeles and its suburbs, San Bernardino and the Inland Empire, Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley, and Blythe. What is the 10 freeway today was originally the route of US 60 and US 70 in the days before the Interstate System. The very first freeway in Los Angeles was a section of the 10, opened in 1935, between downtown LA and the south San Gabriel Valley.

Bring home a piece of American highway history with our California Interstate 10 sign. It’s made to the exact 1957 standard used at the launch of the Eisenhower Interstate Highway System. In 1971, the modern shield design replaced this original style, and many states dropped the state name entirely. Original-style route markers grow scarcer every year, so keep the tradition alive with our California Interstate 10 sign. Don’t settle for imitations that cost one-third the price but deliver one-tenth the quality. You won’t find cheap tin here, and you won’t find wrong fonts, sloppy layouts, incorrect sizes, odd shapes, or any other embarrassing flaw. Our California Interstate 10 sign looks so good up close that even the most discerning collector will press their nose right up to it.

We print each sign on heavy 14-gauge steel, reproducing the layout and fonts with complete accuracy. The non-reflective finish makes this California Interstate 10 sign perfect for display in your garage, game room, office, and it’s durable enough you can even display it outdoors. Mounting holes are included to make installation easy. Choose from the following sizes:

  • 12 in. × 12 in.
  • 18 in. × 18 in. (a size which only appeared in the original 1957 signage manual)
  • 24 in. × 24 in. (the standard size in use today)
  • 36 in. × 36 in. (the “oversize” route marker used in situations where extra visibility or emphasis are needed)
  • Need a different size? Just ask, and we’ll gladly make one for you!
