California (CSAA) Yosemite, Yosemite Lodge, Camp Curry mileage sign

Description

Bring a piece of California’s early automobile and national park history into your collection with our exceptional Yosemite Lodge sign, inspired by the classic highway guide signs of the California State Automobile Association (CSAA). Featuring destinations of Yosemite, Yosemite Lodge, and Camp Curry, this striking reproduction captures the timeless look and unmistakable character of early 20th-century American road signage. The original of this sign was located at the park boundary along State Route 120 near Wawona, and is currently held in a private collection where it is not available for purchase. This carefully made reproduction offers you the opportunity to own a substantial, museum-quality display piece inspired by that classic sign.

Our Yosemite Lodge sign follows the 1919 CSAA sign specification, featuring the association’s name along the sides, its distinctive logo at the bottom, and the sharp-cornered design characteristic of early signs. (Back in those days, private auto clubs, rather than the California state government, posted road signs.) Later generations adopted rounded corners for improved safety, making this earlier style a particularly appealing choice for enthusiasts of authentic vintage highway signage. It makes a standout addition to a garage, den, office, lodge, cabin, or dedicated vintage sign collection.

Unlike lightweight decorative signs, our premium reproduction is crafted from heavy-duty 14-gauge steel and finished with a brilliant, high-gloss appearance that evokes the look of original early-automobile-era porcelain signs. It includes mounting holes for convenient installation. Choose from the following sizes:

• 11-inch sides (about 18 in. across from point to point and 14 in. high)
• 18½-inch sides (about 29 in. across from point to point and 23 in. high), the same size as the original sign
