Description
Interstate 75 runs from Canada to Florida, distance of almost 1800 miles. The southernmost 470 of those miles run through Florida. I-75 enters the state just north of Jennings and follows the Gulf coast of Florida as it heads south. After serving Tampa and Naples, it cutting east across the peninsula on a section of highway called “Alligator Alley“. It then reaches it southern end in the Miami area. Interstate 75 follows the route of US 41, an older highway which it has replaced for most day-to-day use.
Our Florida Interstate 75 route sign is an exact replica that follows the 1957 standards used from the beginnings of the Eisenhower Interstate System. This design was in use until 1971. That year, it was phased out in favor of the modern shield style, which features larger numerals and often omits the state name. In most states the classic 1957 style is quite difficult to spot in the field, and Florida is no exception. Step back in time to the early days of Florida’s freeway system with our faithful replica!
Printed on heavy gauge steel with a waterproof finish, our Florida Interstate 75 sign will serve you well, indoors or outdoors, for years to come. It is non-reflective, allowing it to mesh well with any room’s decor. To make installation anywhere as easy as possible, we’ve included mounting holes for your convenience. It is available in the following sizes:
- 12 in. × 12 in.
- 18 in. × 18 in. (a size sometimes used in the early days of the Interstate System)
- 24 in. × 24 in. (the size used for most applications now)
- 36 in. × 36 in. (a size used along the actual freeway, as well as in other situations where high visibility is a must)
We can make an Interstate shield like this with any number and state name combination! We can also make US and state route markers too! Looking for something you can’t find on our site? Shoot us a message! Just contact Jake to place a custom order!
