Description

Interstate 35 is the primary north-south artery of Texas. It begins in downtown Laredo, just north of the Rio Grande and the border with Mexico. From there, it proceeds north to San Antonio, where it meets Interstate 10. I-35 then continues north to the state capital, Austin, and then on to Waco, home of Baylor University. As it approaches the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Interstate 35 divides into two highways: I-35W to Fort Worth and I-35E to Dallas. The two highways merge back into a unified I-35 in Denton. The road then continues north to Gainesville, and then crosses the Red River into Oklahoma. I-35 is one of Texas’s most heavily traveled highways, serving as the left side of the “Texas Triangle” and providing access to numerous suburbs of San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas–Fort Worth.

Our Texas Interstate 35 sign is a precise replica of the signs that were installed along I-35 when it was first built in the 1950s and 1960s. It’s made according to the classic 1957 specification for Interstate highway signs. Later revisions made the red crown smaller and the numbers bigger, and these days they often won’t even say they’re from the great state of Texas. Our signs return to the Interstate System’s roots and let you step back in time to the days of the wide-open road.

Our Texas Interstate 35 sign is flat printed right here in the USA on heavy-duty 14-gauge steel. Our signs are built to last, with a non-reflective glossy finish that can take a beating from the elements, whether it’s the heat, humidity, and summer sun or a classic Texas ice storm. Mounting holes are included in every sign we sell to make installation easy. Take your pick from the following sizes:

  • 12 inches × 12 inches
  • 18 inches × 18 inches (the size of the early installs)
  • 24 inches × 24 inches (the size of most signs on the road today)
  • 36 inches × 36 inches (a truly Texas-sized sign that is mostly used in high-speed settings where visibility is important)

We can make a sign like this for any Interstate highway in Texas, or any other state. We can make US and state highway signs too, as well as mileage, directional, and state and city welcome signs.
