Description
Our replica of the classic Texas State Wildlife Refuge shield is a precise duplicate of the black and yellow porcelain signs used in the 1930s. Under the name of the relevant authority, the State of Texas Game, Fish, and Oyster Commission, is a depiction of two quail. Below that is the phrase “Wildlife Refuge/Federal Aid Project”. The sign is very similar to the federal wildlife refuge sign, although that sign has a different color scheme, and a goose instead of a quail.
Original signs of this style do still exist, but they inevitably cost many hundreds of dollars on the collector’s market. Here is your chance to get one for a fraction of the price.
Our Texas State Wildlife Refuge sign is printed on steel with great gloss to replicate the old-school porcelain look. This sign is made right here in the USA, to the highest standards of quality. We offer it in its original size, 13½ by 15 inches. We also have an extra-large version, 26 by 31 inches. Both versions include two convenient mounting holes.
