Utah (ACSC) Arrowhead Trail Holden, Nephi, Provo, Salt Lake guide sign

$89.00$159.00

Description

The Arrowhead Trail was the first all-weather road between Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City. It followed roughly the same route as Interstate 15. Directional signage along the Arrowhead Trail was provided by the Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC). Despite the organization’s name, it posted signage far beyond California’s borders, including into Utah.  One such sign appeared in Holden, Utah. It displayed the distances to Nephi, Provo, and Salt Lake, 53½, 98, and 143 miles long respectively. Like all ACSC signage of the era, the sign is diamond-shaped, with blue text on a white background. The seal of the state of Utah appears in the top point of the diamond, with the ACSC logo in the bottom point.

Our Holden, Nephi, Provo, Salt Lake guide sign is a replica sign precisely like the ACSC original. Every detail is faithful to the original sign, including the fonts, layout, and details of the seal and the ACSC logo. If you could track the original sign down, it would likely cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars—if it was even for sale! Get a perfect display piece, without the expense and hassle of buying an original, with our replica sign.

Our Holden, Nephi, Provo, Salt Lake guide sign ACSC directional sign is printed flat, on heavy 14-gauge steel. Much like the porcelain enamel of the original sign, our replica has a smooth, glossy finish which will endure the elements for years to come. Mounting holes are included in the design to make installation easy. It is available in the following sizes:

  • a scaled-down 12-inch-square version (about 17 inches up and down between the points)
  • the actual-size 18-inch-square version (about 25½ inches up and down between the points)
  • an oversized 20-inch-square version (about 28 inches up and down between the points)

We can make a sign like this, in the ACSC style, with any set of destinations you like! We can also make just about any road sign you might be interested in. Route markers, directional signs, warning signs, welcome signs and more…we do them all! And we can make designs from just about anywhere in the world, too.
