Description
Interstate 25 is the primary north-south highway serving the state of New Mexico. It begins at Interstate 10 in Las Cruces and proceeds north to serve the cities of Truth or Consequences, Los Lunas, Albuquerque, and the state capital, Santa Fe. The highway then ascends Raton Pass as it passes into Colorado to the north, 462 miles (744 km) north of I-10. The highway follows the path of US Route 85 through New Mexico, a highway which is still on the books, although signage for it has not been posted for many years.
Our New Mexico Interstate 25 sign is a faithful replica, drawn up according to the original 1957 Interstate standards. This classic-style road sign is right out of the early days of the Interstate System, when the digits on route markers were smaller to allow the name of the state to be displayed above them. (Modern signs use larger numbers to aid in visibility, often sacrificing both the state name and any sense of aesthetic proportions to do so.) Our New Mexico Interstate 25 sign can be yours without the hassles and premium prices you’ll find on the collector’s market. It makes a great addition your garage, bar, man cave, office, home, or anywhere else.
Our New Mexico Interstate 25 sign is proudly made of 14-gauge American steel, right here in the United States. It resists rust and fading thanks to its durable, high-glossy, non-retroreflective finish. Display it indoors or outdoors for years to come, even in the sunny deserts of southern New Mexico. For easy installation, pre-drilled mounting holes are included in every sign. Take your pick from the following sizes:
- 12 in. × 12 in., great for decorating a small space
- 18 in. × 18 in., a size used in the earliest days of the Interstate era
- 24 in. × 24 in., the modern-day standard size
- 36 in. × 36 in., the “oversize” version used where visibility is particularly important (a real conversation piece!)
