Description
Interstate 20 is one of the longest Interstate highways in Texas. It crosses most of the state from west to east, beginning at I-10 east of Kent, and proceeding northeast from there to Midland and Odessa. It continues to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, then to Tyler and Longview, before finally crossing into Louisiana near Shreveport. In all, I-20 spends 636 miles (1,024 km) in the state of Texas.
Our Texas Interstate 20 route sign is made to the exact 1957 Interstate signage standards. This is the style that was first used on the Interstate System, and was used until the 1970s. It was replaced with the current specification, which has larger numbers and often has the state name omitted. With each passing year, it gets harder and harder to find the original-style markers.
Our Texas Interstate 20 sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It is a non-reflective sign, helping it to complement any room’s decor. It also has a durable, glossy finish, allowing it to serve you well without fading or rusting when installed outdoors as well. Pre-drilled mounting holes make it easy to hang it up anywhere. We’ve made it available in the following sizes:
- 12 in. × 12 in. (for decorators with not a lot of space or money to spare)
- 18 in. × 18 in. (the size of some early Interstate markers installed on the side streets)
- 24 in. × 24 in. (the most common size in use today)
- 36 in. × 36 in. (used along the freeways and in other situations where visibility is key
We can make an Interstate sign like this with any combination of state name and route number!
