Description
The Ohio River Scenic Byway runs along the north bank of the Ohio River, through the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. It begins at the mouth of the river, at Cairo, Illinois. From there, it generally proceeds east, passing through southern Illinois and Indiana. It enters Ohio in Cincinnati, then continues east and northeast from there. It finally ends in East Liverpool, near where the river enters Pennsylvania.
All three states the highway passes through, mark the Ohio River Scenic Byway with a sign unique to this route. It depicts a riverfront scene, complete with a traditional steamboat. In the foreground are buildings representing one of the many small towns along the river, complete with church steeple. Now you can relive your travels along the mighty Ohio by adding this sign to your collection.
